Olivia Hussey BIOGRAPHY
Birth name: Olivia Osuna. This dark-haired beauty made a stunning Juliet in Franco Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet (1968), and although her performance wasn't exactly sobinducing, she scored at least afew points for being the only actress in screen history to play the part while in the proper age range. Hussey, who'd already appeared in TV shows and other movies (beginning with 1965's The Battle of the Villa Fiorita became a "name" from the worldwide exposure as Juliet, but wasn't able to parlay that fame into stardom. She appeared in mostly undistinguished movies, including All the Right Noises (1969),The Summertime Killer (1971), Lost Horizon (1973), Black Christmas (1974), The Cat and the Canary, Death on the Nile (both 1978), The Man With Bogart's Face andVirus (both 1980), before abandoning the big screen to do TV work here and abroad. Hussey's recent comeback attempt hasn't gotten very far to date; 1987's Distortions and 1990's The Undeclared War went right to videotape.Psycho IV: The Beginning (also 1990), in which she played the mother of Norman Bates, was produced for cable TV.
