ABI TITMUSS BIOGRAPHY
Few women have undergone as startling a public transformation as Abi Titmuss. While ex-boyfriend John Leslie fought rape allegations (all charges were subsequently dropped), Abi, then a full-time nurse, was portrayed as the quiet girlfriend, loyally standing by her man. Then ex-basketball pro Jason Blayde (no, we'd never heard of him either) sold his story of drug-fuelled, girlfriend-swapping orgies and her reputation was transformed overnight. Stung by the revelations, Abi then sold the News Of The World her side of the story, owning up to a gloriously racy love life that included saucy home videos and cavorting with other ladies to please her man. What a woman!
And then, as Leslie's career appeared to go into freefall, Abi's took off. First there was a brief, but much publicised, promotional stint for soft-porn channel Television X, then the TV and theatre scripts started to arrive, and now she's in the process of filming her very own Channel 4 documentary What Abi Did Next. Throw in the tabloids' increasing interest in both her and her ever more revealing outfits, with her nurse's uniform now hung up for good, Abi is emerging from the shadows of her randy, and unnaturally tall, ex and launching her own showbiz career.
